SStran Transmitter
Hope this is the right section. I'm looking to buy the SSTran AMT3000 AM Transmitter kit for Xmas and cannot log on to the SSTran website. Are they still in business?

Re: SStran Transmitter
That's a relief.
Eric - you will find that the SSTran is a wonderful fit-and-forget piece of kit, and the company are very helpful and courteous.

Re: SStran Transmitter
SSTran website back on line. I have ordered AMT3000-9KSMNT. The one without the power adaptor.

Re: SStran Transmitter
Yep, agree 100% with previous comments. With my computer full of albums of old music and the sound card output plugged into the SStran I have my own "oldies" radio station. I often stream BBC7 etc off the web as well, (No DAB radio here). I did find the 18 volt AC wall wart a bit more expensive than I expected, but I didn't spend hours on the web looking for the cheapest price. Altogether a very pleasant experience putting together this top quality unit. Incidentally, with the £ at $2.10 or thereabouts, now is the time to get stuff from the USA!

Re: SStran Transmitter
£2.68 now (with the VAT). That's exactly the one I use. 15V AC is fine and seems to be easier to find than 18V AC wall warts.
