Default SStran Transmitter

Hope this is the right section. I'm looking to buy the SSTran AMT3000 AM Transmitter kit for Xmas and cannot log on to the SSTran website. Are they still in business?

Hope that helps.

The domain is registered through http://ez2ba.com ("easy 2 be a dot-com") and visiting this address redirects to an IP address which gives this message:

Dear ez2ba.com

The purpose of this communication is to notify you that we are still working on the migration of our servers. There have been several unforseen problems that have prevented us to meet our expectations of having sites up by Saturday morning. We have shifts of engineers and other staff working 24/7 to get our servers back on line as soon as possible. We will release a much fuller explaination of the problems experienced but right now we are in the middle of a flurry of effort to get things up and running.

I'm sure your biggest concern is when your site will be up.

Current ETA: Monday, November 5th, 6:00 a.m. EST

Thank you for your patience.

ez2ba.com support staff
So it looks like work by the hosting company is the cause of the outage and it will be back online....... somewhen (the deadline on the page has passed).

That's a relief.
Eric - you will find that the SSTran is a wonderful fit-and-forget piece of kit, and the company are very helpful and courteous.

Eric.

You will not be dissapointed with this purchase. An excellent time to buy with the present favourable exchange rate.

Max.

I am sure you will be delighted with it. It is an extremely well designed unit, straightforward to assemble and gives excellent results.

As everyone else has said, this is an amazing bit of kit and a sheer joy to put together. You will not be disappointed.

Yep, agree 100% with previous comments. With my computer full of albums of old music and the sound card output plugged into the SStran I have my own "oldies" radio station. I often stream BBC7 etc off the web as well, (No DAB radio here). I did find the 18 volt AC wall wart a bit more expensive than I expected, but I didn't spend hours on the web looking for the cheapest price. Altogether a very pleasant experience putting together this top quality unit. Incidentally, with the £ at $2.10 or thereabouts, now is the time to get stuff from the USA!

You can get something suitable (IMHO) for £2.07, see this thread!

£2.68 now (with the VAT). That's exactly the one I use. 15V AC is fine and seems to be easier to find than 18V AC wall warts.

Doh! Should have asked on here first. Never mind, it's only money and I'm happy.
