The Cambridge Repeaters (and some others in the area) are now run by the Cambridge Repeater Group

Many of the group are former Pye Telecome employees

Hi

G3PY is listed in Jack Hum's prewar callbook to Mr S. Torkington at Hadfield,
also in 1965, 1970 and 1985 RSGB callbooks at Glossop, - gone in 1993 book.
G3+2 letter callsigns were issued 1937-1938

Kind regards
Dave

It was a long time ago when I was in Cambridge using a VHF PFX (thanks to the lads at Pye Telecom for liberating the set) programmed for 2M and whistling the 1750Hz to open GB?PI. My first handheld, 1986 ish.
