In normal times you might also expect to be able to work the Poole 2m repeater:-

GB3PB
TX:145.6250MHz RX:145.0250MHz
Type: AnalogueVoice
CTCSS: 71.9

However this repeater is currently (June 2021) listed as...

NOT OPERATIONAL

Nice to see Metre used correctly..... I Hate the mis spelling (meter)..Grrrr
A meter is used for measuring........ a metre is a measurement of distance..... I guess our "friends" over the pond, couldnt work it out

Alot play safe and apply to Mtr or M,but I was reading an article in the paper the other day that they are considering a return to imperial measurements! Great so every thing in chinese soon then?

The metre unit is m (lower case), imperial units are metric one inch being defined as 25.4mm. Over the pond they use English units, somewhat different.

If I ask for a pint over the other side of the pond, I only always get short measure - 16 fl.oz. instead of the full 20!

As the OP's question has been answered and the thread has drifted off into a discussion about units of measurement, it's time to close this thread.
