Default Identification of radio chassis

I did a quick search but I wonder if anyone might recognise a donated chassis?Probably 1948-53, 5 octal valves inc 6X5,6V6 all Brimar. 6" speaker on right,
4 control spindles in line at bottom. AC Mains, sticker on rear; HTA 531/M
All dial etc missing. Two gang VC. Heavy chassis, quite well made. UK.
Dial on left, don't know if vertical or horizontal. TIA

I won't know the chassis, but a picture tells a thousand words!

Best regards, Joe.

Many thanks Paul. It's not a brand I know. Whilst it's a shame dial and cabinet are absent
it works well and I will make a simple dial and repurpose it as a teaching aid.

Should be a good reliable set after a minimum of attention, nothing very adventurous in circuit terms but nice and solid and they seem to have sold well through their brief time as a going concern until the problems documented at

https://www.radiomuseum.org/dsp_hers...pany_id=6418#a .

I've seen quite a few over the years, almost always full size 4+1 valve mains table jobs - never a portable nor the quirky Midgetronic - and owned a couple of them long ago.
