Default Grundig TK 820 Recorder

I have had a TK820 Grundig since new in 1958. It is little used but not currently working. I have bought a second one for spares. Does anyone have sufficient experience to bring one back to life? They are built like a battleship with a heavy cast iron frame.

Are you looking for a commercial repairer/restorer, or do you want help to restore it yourself?

I have two TK 830's (which are similar to the TK 820) to restore, have not yet had time to look at them.

Have started a TK 819 restore (similar again) which is going very slowly.

They are quite complex machines to work on.

I can't offer restoration services, but I know these machines very well, and can offer assistance via the Forum.

Leon.

I can probably bring it back to life for you, but can you tell me what's wrong with it?

If you are not in a hurry, when the latest lockdown is lifted and I next go around the northern part of the UK, I can come to you.

PM me your details please.
