Default "Emston" - anyone heard of this brand?

Hello,

A work colleague has just given me the innards from an old radiogram to repair.

The brand on the tuning scale is "EMSTON" and it is dated 1955. It looks British made and employs "Osram" B7G, B9A and Octal valves.

I've never heard of this brand - has anyone else?

Regards,

Dazzlevision

Hi Dazzlevision,

They seem to have been connected with Amplion :-

Thanks Duke.

I've had a bit of a "google" myself and found:
