Default Help with Hunts Electrolytic Capacitor.

Hello to all the respectable members of this group!.. I'm from Santiago of Chile and I need some help with a "Hunts" Capacitor... I saw a post from 2015 with a similar topic but I didn't see a concrete answer:

I have a damaged (burned) electrolitic capacitor on a custom made power amplifier which uses a 5V4G valve (see photo). Of course that it is almost impossible to get a same new one so, I wonder if I could replace it with two 32uF 350v modern capacitors welded in parallel (both terminals on the capacitor are currently welded)...

I really will appreciate so much if some one could help me...

Kind regards,

Jorge Urrutia C.

Default Re: Help with Hunts Electrolytic Capacitor.

Yes you can.

Though, I'd be tempted to get a single, modern 47uF or 68uF 400V capacitor, of appropriate ripple current rating.
