Default Abbey Radiogram manufacturing Co

I managed to pickup an early 1960s British transistor radio that has an Abbey name badge outside and a more detailed plate inside .. see photo
When i goggle searched for this make there was nothing.
It reminds me of a Baird model i have somewere.
Just wondering if anybody has heard of this one ?

There is this, possibly the same company.
https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/abbey_...unknown_1.html

The logo “Abbey” looks the same.

Those PCBs look awfully familiar.... Dansette 222 comes to mind.

It's a shame that the speaker is so small given the generously sized audio transformers!

Yes indeed the dansette does have circuit boards that are very similar.
I will remove the abbey circuit boards for a better look.
That speaker is very small.
The Audio transformers deserve better.
The audio circuit board looks very much a prototype to me.

Removed RF IF board and it turns out to be hand wired underneath.

So it must be either an Abbey prototype
or a home constructor being creative back in the day.
The Abbey badge and id plate reused from an old radiogram..

I might try and get it going.
