Default Is there an alternative to an M20E stylus?

Hi,
I've discovered an Ortofon 210 Cartridge without a Stylus. I believe the correct one is an M20E but they a very expensive.
Does anyone know of an alternative Stylist that will suit.

Many Thanks

Graham

See https://www.vinylengine.com/turntabl...c.php?t=131436

You could always just fit a cheaper cartridge of course.

However, you should bear in mind there are risks in using third party styluses, as it's difficult to assess the quality compared to an OEM part. Googling the HiFi forums may give you some guidance (if you can get through all the audiophoolery stuff).

Very true. Some of the stuff available in the High Street after vinyl records had ceased to be mainstream was shocking (Tandy won that prize for me!).

But I've been using stuff from Mantra Audio since about 1998 and have always been pleased.

If the cartridge is a standard 1/2" mount thing though (as opposed to a Dual or P-Mount special), do consider replacing the whole thing with the Audio Technica AT95E at £40 or so.

Are you sure you've got the correct cartridge model?
