786 Trimphone
Hello,
Can anyone tell me if the 786 type of Trimphone can be wall mounted. Does it have screw eye positions or was a bracket available? Thanks, |

Re: 786 Trimphone
There are no wall mounting holes in the base of a Trimphone. If you managed to attach one to the wall the handset would just fall off. It is not designed to hook on, just rest on with the phone in a horizontal position.
I've never seen a wall mounting bracket for a trimphone but they may have been produced. In any case it would still have had to hold the phone in a horizontal position. Michael. |

Re: 786 Trimphone
Hi,
If you scroll around two -thirds of the way down this page, there are details of a wall mounting kit (Kit 422A) for the 722 dial version of the Trimphone. I have never seen a wall mounting kit in "real life" and suspect that they are rarer than hens teeth! Regards Andrew |

Re: 786 Trimphone
Hello,
Many thanks these replies have been useful and so have the links. I wanted to get one in the kitchen but might not if the 422 mount isn't compatible with the 786 phone. |

Re: 786 Trimphone
Alternatively, how about making a wall shelf for your 786 to stand on?

Re: 786 Trimphone
I think this will have to be the approach. The brief from her in doors was a DTMF vintage phone for the kitchen and wall mounted but the use of a shelf will be the compromise. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Re: 786 Trimphone
would it be possible to fit a 782 Dial unit into a Tele 741?
Otherwise you'd need the chrome handset bracket to turn a 782 into a 785. http://www.britishtelephones.com/t785.htm |
