Hi Vince, it appears an "upmarket" version of Telsen Radiomag, Eddystone mag etc that were popular in the 30's and were heavily advertised in the likes of PW and WW

Thanks for that, most interesting. Here's a scan of the inside rear cover of the 1936-7 Bulgin catalogue. It refers to the No 2 editiion of Radio Progress, as well as two other Bulgin technical publications: - a Radio Service Manual (price 1/-), and a monthly bulletin, sent free by post all over the world on request. I'm afraid this catalogue is the only pre-war Bulgin publication I have.

Hi!

Bulgin were very forward–thinking both in the circuits they designed for use with their components, and also in the design and layout of this publication – the style and quality of the drawings was at least ten years in the future for most of the contemporary magazines of that date, and "Uno" stencilled lettering, 1.4V B7G battery valves, octal–base 6.3V valves, and the "magic–eye" tuning indicator were still about five or six years (and a world war as well in the case of the more modern lettering) away!
