Default Rare type of UCH42 ?

This made me laugh - discovered sorting through an old box of pulls.
Clearly someone had a boring day at the service bench 🤣

used in the Mk 7 DAC90A and the experimental FM model the DAC90AFM that never reached production. The output from the FM tuner was injected at the top cap. John.

A developmental version, intended for low-oscillator-radiation shipboard receivers with DC supplies, the signal grid top cap poking into the isolated RF box.

Or someone bored in the workshop.....

My employer went through a phase of offering free Scotch pies at coffee break and rather like the tobacco tins used for power splitters etc one of these pies sat on top of a bench for several weeks with three BNC connectors pushed into its sides.

There was also one of the unbiteably hard rock cakes on top of labstock for a couple of years complete with model lighthouse.

Robert's work, I think.

I particularly liked the use of sections of a grey ty-rap to make the stairs.

Modified for use as a driver for a long wave transmit pa, or could be used in a pantry transmitter output on it's own

Is it at all possible the top cap has been stuck on the glass envelope to provide a reliable connection point so it can be capacitively coupled to the electrode structure? Or is it just someone having a bit of fun? I think the odds are weighed towards the latter

Regards,
Symon.

Since the getter material only partly obscures the top of the valve I think it would be possible to see whether or not the top cap is connected to an electrode.
