Mind you maybe this set has got something going for it... After all the designer was able to thwart any attempt to place a pot plant on the top Cheers Andy

Hi Andy, That's right, this style of cabinet discourages the owner placing objects on the top, and it's like that with all the later Masteradio table top TVs. Certainly the 1957/58 models were like that, models TH7 and TJ7 etc. The attachment shows the unique shape of the cabinet. No other TV manufacturer dared to make such a uniquely shaped cabinet.
