Default La Cote D'Hiver - BBC2 Test Transmission

Hi folks. My favourite of the BBC2 Colour test films was ‘LA COTE D’HIVER’ but I have been unable to find anything about this film on the net. Does anybody know anything about the history of this film?
See the zip file to prod your memory.

Was this the French Canadian film, where the woman shouts "Jerome!" ?

Only info I can find is on the BVWS web site.
LA COTE D’HIVER

Production Details: unknown
15 minutes duration
First showing 23rd September 1968
Final showing 7th November 1968
“The coast in winter” A trip along the French Riviera.

I don’t remember the film, it appears it was only shown a few times.

Hi Steve, your comment rings a bell, but I can’t be sure.
Frank, yes, I found that web site, but I’m not convinced the dates are correct. I seem to recall the film had a longer showing than just a few weeks, but, it was fifty years ago, so I may be wrong.

“Jerome!” That was Atlantic Parks.

I can’t remember La Cote D’Hiver either but we may not have had a BBC2 set in the dates shown.

Looking at that list I didn’t realise how many films there were. I must have seen them but getting the sets fixed was priority, they eventually became background noise.

There is a brief mention of this film here:

http://www.testcardcircle.org.uk/ttcfatoz.html

I think you can be sure that the dates are correct, as The Test Card Circle went to great lengths to ensure that their information is as accurate as possible.

Regards,

Dave.

Ah! This could be the one I keep looking for and can never find!
I recall just one scene (if it's the one). It has an attractive young lady lazing in the sun on the beach, eating grapes(?) to the accompaniment of some really cool jazz quintet music. It's the music I'm actually trying to find!

Yeah, I think that could be the one Andy. There was a slo-Mo close-up of her eating a grape. The film was described by someone in Television Mag as being ' slightly erotic'.
I can't find any trace of it either.

Would you believe it Dave - It's Atlantic Parks, as mentioned above. I just took a quick search on You Tube and there it was. Pity the quality is so rough, I remember the original TX as looking very glossy.

Here's the original "Jerome" thread with the link to Atlantic Parks:

So far as I can make out the music was by Francois Cousineau and the songs were by Les Sinners.

I took a look at Atlantic Parks, but it's not the one I'm looking for. That said, I have to agree, the music is good
