Does anyone recognise this GMR radiogram?
I bought this recently and trying to restore. It has a Lenco J54 record deck on top. I think it has the same valve line up as a 1954 Romance Cadre but not sure the circuit's the same. It all lights up but the tuning cable has snapped and the pick up works but the deck doesn't.
Thank you Lawrence (ex radio ham) |

Re: Does anyone recognise this GMR radiogram?
No, but it's classic early '50s French! The radio looks like the ubiquitous 5 plus tuning indicator type seen in multitudinous offerings of the period.
It should be straightforward enough to fix as long as all the wound components are OK!

Re: Does anyone recognise this GMR radiogram?
Have managed to get the record player fixed, with some help from Lenco Heaven forum.
Trying to fix the radio now. Tuning cable is broken which I am trying to restring and there is a big tuning coil with wires that have been cut. See pics. Anyone seen this before - I can find the other end of all the cables except the black one - could be earth?? |
