Hello,

Talking of operating valves over their maximum....

Here we go the circuit for Fender guitar amplifier with the 6V6 being taken within an inch of its life! I've read it squeezes 22 Watts out of the poor 'ole valves

Wow Terry that's a lot of good information. I've downloaded it and will go through it. Thank you

I'm familiar with that fender circuit, I put the volume control in the same place in a previous amplifier build. The 6v6s running at 400v are most likely JJs - they're built to withstand higher voltages as I'm sure you know
