The second item is a small microphone. It was used in some low-end tape recorder I think. At one point Henry's Radio sold off the amplifier PCB, tape head, microphone and speaker as a pack to be used with your own deck mechanism.

Item 2: DAE is the GPO code for A.P. Besson, who made sounders etc.

The first item reminds me of the Advance E2 frequency dial. The second item looks like a microphone as used in the old type pocket fitting hearing aids. The third item could also have been used in a hearing aid, although they were usually silver tin plate finish.

The second and third photo, if it is a microphone / GPO that sounds feasible.

The scale is about 2mm thick, fairly heavy duty. Its a while since I had an E2.

Scale plate as 4 frequency scales and a REVS. scale, so far as I can make out.

Item 1

PCR set, AVO sig gen, Taylor sig gen all look similar but not identical. Frequency range is a bit "odd". Revs might be turns of slow motion dial knob.

Had a closer look at my Advance E2 and although the scale looks similar the ranges are different. The E2 goes from 100Kcs to 100Mcs in 6 ranges. The 'revs' range has me intrigued. Given that it goes from 1.2Mcs up to 17.5Mcs, I wonder if was a from a signal generator that was designed for military use.

Think REVS = revolutions?

Yes, something with a 40-turn knob that covers 1.2 - 17.5 Mc/s in 4 ranges, military or professional kit.

20MHz is about as far up as a lot of Aviation HF bands went, so that may be an additional guide.
