Default Invicta model 15

I just picked this up today it's working but in a bad way in side and out so I will be looking for some help --- no sound on SW----- LW and MW working OK. Les.

This is what's known as a "Short" Superhet, so its circuitry is not completely conventional. The Service Sheet can be downloaded from the "Service Data" Link above. have you cleaned the Waveband switch?

Here is a picture of the case, vaneer chipping in the corners, vaneer lifting
on the top and some places rubbed down past vaneer level back down to wooden case. Just clean and leave alone or recover? I still have sheets of vaneer which I used on doors. The tuner string is broken, spent about 2 hours today with a piece of string, still haven't really worked it out. Any suggestions
in text or pictures so I can see how it goes.

I put a 80 ft line up the garden SW is working ok I picking up radio China / Canada plus more.

The P.U. connector on the back is for a gramophone PickUp. It can also be used as an auxiliary audio input to allow other devices such as CD players or mobile phones to play via the radio's audio amp and loudspeaker.
