Question Album of 5" Records (Aircraft Products Ltd.)

Whilst at the NVCF on 15th. May, I picked up for £2.00, an album of six single sided vinyl discs produced by the above firm. I can find no info. on the web about this company or their products, but the album I have, which contains recordings by Harry Champion, Marie Lloyd, Jnr., Florrie Forde, Charles Coborn, Wilkie Bard & Fred Barnes. Two songs by each of the above are on each disc, which are 'unbreakable records with a 10" duration of play', and, AFAIK, play at 78rpm, but using an LP stylus, as they are microgroove discs. Seemingly the album I have was one of a montly series, but there is no info. as to date(s) of issue, what equipment they were made for, etc. Were they, e.g., made for an early form of in-flight entertainment, bearing the company name in mind? Does anyone know any more about these, or other records of this type??

From the NVCF thread:

APL also made a very popular electric clock immediately post WW2. I was led to believe that they made them to keep busy when the war was over. https://cdn.globalauctionplatform.co...3/original.jpg
But I think that may have been Aircraft Patents Limited.

Nick.

Aircraft Products Limited were apparently struck-off in 1953: https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...,d.ZGg&cad=rja
