Default Tuning Indicators in M.G. Scroggie's Books?

Hi!

Another quickie one!

Can anyone suggest why M.G. Scroggie never made any mention of tuning and record–level indicators in any of his theory or servicing books?

Did he consider them to be of no importance and not needing a mention, or was there some other reason?

F.J. Camm's "Beginner's Guide to Radio" also made no reference to them, even tho' a.g.c. was covered!

Most other theory writers at least gave them a paragraph at least, E.A.W. Spreadbury's book, "Radio Circuits – A Step By Step Survey" gave them a short chapter, as did E.D.J. Lewis's "Radio Receiver Servicing & Maintainence".
