Default Deleting private messages

I looked for something about this in the stickies but couldn't find it. After ten-odd years on the Forum I've had the 90% notice to clear some messages off. Now, I can see the tick box on each message but can't see a delete button or similar - I take it one can tag a batch and delete them at once, somehow?

Tick them and at the bottom right of the page you'll find a box "Move to folder". select "delete" from the drop down menu associated with the box. The click on "Go (n)".

If you tick messages and then move on to further pages, the ticks persist and when you roll down the action selector to delete and click go, the whole lot are deleted.
