Sanyo VCR7200 NTSC Beta hi-fi colour problem.
Hi all,
I've recently come into possession of an NTSC Sanyo VCR7200 Beta hi-fi vcr which has a colour output problem. The output is in black and white but very often a vertical rainbow effect of colour stripes come up on the screen, often in pause and picture search modes. The TV's I've connected to the vcr are capable of displaying NTSC signals, so it's not a TV problem. Here's where things get complicated. I've been loaned an oscilloscope to help me try to find the fault which I'm assuming is on the top flip up video board, but I'm a total novice with scopes and wouldn't know where to connect the probe to, or what settings to use on the scope. I'll attach some pictures of the colour problem, and a picture of the loaned scope. Any info/help with trying to find this fault would be very much appreciated. I don't have the service manual for the vcr unfortunately. Thanks. |
