Default Wanted : Radiospares RS 305-642 audio amp IC

Probably long shot, but i am looking for a RS audio amp IC (305-642). 10 pins DIL, manufactured in the mid-70s. It has a rather unusual heatsink !
Thanks for your possible help !

To my eyes this is an unusual looking ic.

Two schools of thought.

First just what is this device being used for, the make and model of the equipment may help us/you find the original ic.

Secondly, contact Radio Spares. They will/may have a record of the device and a possible equivalent.

Good luck.

It's an old Plessey device The SL414 replaced the equally bizarre SL403

Also sold by Sinclair.

Plessey were very successful in producing complete sub systems in these packages.

There is one for sale here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SL414A-GE...wAAOSw44BYT8hI

Cheers

Fascinating! Quite a piece of history. I see from the Ebay listing that it could produce 3W into 7.5 ohms. Probably with a 18V supply though.

The drawback? Looks like it took 6W supply power when just sitting doing nothing.....!

Which probably means it's running in class_A.
