Default Help locating belts for my NAD Deck

As title says I'm nowadays wanting to make the thing work again. The cassette tape deck is the NAD 6340. I'm not sure where to find the information, so if anybody of you would be so kind to help me with some ideas or directions then that would be fantastic.

The deck turns on, but the tape won't run. I checked it inside and the belts were melted pretty much like chocolate...horrible sight. So I'm on the look for proper replacements.

Thanks in advance.

You all have a good week!

The last time I needed belts for a NAD I had to get them from Germany.

I've never had good experiences with belts off Ebay - and the Tapeheads community seem to have experienced similar issues. If the belt's too tight, it can cause excessive wear. If it's too loose, it can get looser over time and not only will W+F suffer, but it can eat tapes as a result.

Marian @ Fix Your Audio probably has the best reputation in Europe for belts presently: https://fixyouraudio.com/

He's also on the TH group and seems pretty transparent in how he runs the business.

There's also Web Spare Parts in the USA. I've had good results with their belts.

Avoiding Ebay would be my advice.

Yes i can understand that as well-but most of the German parts I've used in the past have been spot on and did a basic Nad the other day with an e-bay belt and all was good at least it was an original part too
Fantastic post on the fix your audio link that's real sound advice and worth looking at.
