Panasonic NV HS950 cassette locked inside
Hello everyone. In my Panasonic NV HS950 it got stuck in a cassette that now no longer wants to come out. To repair the fault I have to extract the mechanics from inside the video recorder but one of the four screws that secure it is covered by the locked cassette and I can't reach it. How could I go about removing the stuck cassette without breaking anything? Unfortunately, removing the bottom panel is useless: the bottom of the chassis is covered by the main board which makes it impossible to access the mechanical gears.

Hi
Your VCR have the K mechanism. Propably you have broken motor coupling. Operate the vcr and press EJECT. When you hear the loading motor rotation help the mechanism with your fingers to unload the tape and eject the cassette. Do not apply force with your hand just lift smooth the cassette with your fingers. |

Hi. These two videos by Dr Cassette might help you.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csdxKnywhaU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jD5u9jDnP0g Also, download the service manual for the K mechanism: http://freeservicemanuals.info/en/se.../PLUSTRAINING/ Pay attention to the timing of the gears and the mode encoder switch. Things will become worse if you try to turn the unit on with a misaligned mechanism. Regards, Fivos |
