This looks interesting- possibly late 40s? I don't recognise it and the photos are poor (although good enough to tell that a new crt is required)

It looks a bit like this Rediffusion.

I think you've got it Mike. That looks precisely the set to me. It's a shame about the tube but it's got to be worth saving for the rarity value. I've never seen a Rediffusion as early as that before. I wonder if it's mains EHT?
