City Radio Stores Ealing, West London
Hi,
if in Ealing, West London, suggest visiting City Radio Stores at 37 Bond Street, W5. They were established in 1929. I found it a pleasure to peruse the many 'oddities' they stock. Sadly so few of these independents now exist. My 'local' was Odeon Radio in Harrow. Regards - Mike |

Re: City Radio Stores
I remember when practically every town had a radio surplus store and London was full of them, as you say, very few left now.

Re: City Radio Stores
That must be near the Grove.
As for Odeon Radio, I still have some things that I bought from them, "way back". |

Thanks for the tip. It is indeed a good source of radio spares. Cricklewood Electronics in Cricklewood Broadway NW2, and Vintage Wireless London In Bell Street NW1 (Just off Edgware road) are also good sources for radio spares and well worth visiting.

No, Mr Trickett was a couple of doors away.
I bought a Pioneer SX-1010 from him many years ago! Paul |

He was a great guy if you got on with him always did good deals and at the time I didn't live to far from him and I only rode motorbikes then and he would always deliver whatever huge Japanese monolith I had bought.
