Smile Aquadag Paint

Hello all,
Does anyone know where i can obtain any Aquadag Paint.
I used to get it from RS in the form of a aerosel but they have discontinued it now.
I only need a small amount to paint a Mazda CRM93 crt to put in a Bush TV22.
Many thanks,
Keith.

Rapid electronics do an aerosol of graphite coating which should do the job:-

Use of this stuff is discussed on this interesting site:-

Not Aquadag, I know, but I came across it and thought it might be useful someday. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW

Hi Keith,
The CRM93 will work very well in the BUSH TV22 without having to 'dag' the bowl of the tube. As you know the coating together with the internal final anode form an EHT smooting capacitor of around .001uf. There is sufficient capacity when the tube is mounted close to the chassis between the bulb and chassis to smooth the eht to a satisfactory degree. Even at full beam current only a tiny amount of line pulling can be observed and even then you would never see it unless pointed out. I am a little concerned about painting an old 50 year old tube with any form of drying paint. The glass is very thin on all MAZDA tubes and any undue strain should be avoided. I stuck the rearview mirror back on the windscreen of my TRANSIT with 'superglue' but was told later that when the warm weather came the screen would crack....You guessed it..All around the mirror mounting and a vertical crack.! Glass becomes brittle when old. It may become a serious problem as these vintage tubes age. JOHN
