Default DIY Inductor winding for an amplifier project

Hi all,

Just wondering if its possible to wind my own 6uH choke for an amplifier rebuild.
Its a quad 303 power amplifier. Ive wound chokes in the past, not bothering much with values, and used a low resistance, high wattage carbon film resistor and wound a few turns on it end to end. But I wondered if theres a more accurate way ? ( cant see anything like a calculator for this on the web )
thanks in anticipation of any help
