RIP changed to 'retired'
I just noticed Igranic's profile seems to have changed from RIP to retired, ditto ukcol. Is this a side effect from the three year rule?

Re: RIP changed to 'retired'
I was wondering the same thing!
"Retired Dormant Member" is still showing for the Members I know of, who are no longer with us, as of this morning. Ian |

Re: RIP changed to 'retired'
'Retired Dormant Member' appears to have replaced 'RIP' for all members who passed away more than three years ago.

Re: RIP changed to 'retired'
Thanks Graham,
I believe these Members are no longer with us. Not sure how to check for sure, but these Members were logged as RIP when I was going through the Threads for the Avo Multimeter Survey some time back. All are currently logged as "Retired Dormant Member" SPCh mickjjo joe brianc Alan Stepney geoff999 Oldtimer74 Time also, for us to remember our departed Forum Friends. Ian |

Crackle shown as RIP as he's posted in the last three years.

Is there not a way to recover this data automatically? |

DoctorWho corrected.
There probably is a way to recover the data automatically, but it's beyond my pay grade. I'll leave it to Paul Stenning.

Re: RIP changed to 'retired'
I don't think there is now; it was just done as a MySQL query to update the status of all dormant users. If I need to do it again I'll be more careful to not include RIP members, but this time they will just need to be corrected as and when they are identified. Keep listing them here and we well correct them manually.

Re: RIP changed to 'retired'
Forum member chipp1968 is also RIP.
I suppose this is an unintended consequence of changing forum members' status to "Retired Dormant Member" for all who haven't logged in for over 3 years. |
