Thomson TTV 3575 P - Betacam SP - VU meter doesn't turn on
Hello,
Everything in this deck is working perfectly, except the VU meter that doesn't turn on. What could go wrong? I have a functional VU meter on a BVW 65 P, I could potentially use some donor parts, not the led meter though, looks slightly different probably because of the recorder/player difference in the decks audio monitoring, any suggestions? Thanks. PS: The audio works and the level knobs too. |

Re: Thomson TTV 3575 P - Betacam SP - VU meter doesn't turn on
Assuming this uses a VFD, check the low-voltage AC heater supply (e.g +5V). If present, check the anode supply which is usually a high negative supply (e.g. -30v) normally fed to the display directly from the PSU, or in some cases, generated 'locally' by a DC-DC boost converter.
Check PSU health in general (caps, etc). And of course, those all-important fuses..

I think I will try to swap boards first in that area and see what happens, thanks!
