Hi Folks

I recently got hold of a Marconiphone mains portable radio Model T36AB

The problem with it and why it would not work was that R19 1450 Ohm wire wound resistor had gone open circuit, trouble is finding one of the same value, the nearest I had was 2K. I suspected that the HT smoothing cap 32+32 had caused the trouble but what I did was a little mod underneath and replaced the two values with two 33uF axial ones and left the original in place. The other problem was the wave change knob someone had stuck it to the spindle with araldite and hence the knob broke trying to remove it as it was located wrong on the shaft. I am now having to look for a replacement one.
