Power transistor substitutes
Does anyone know of a replacement for 2S1162BG/2SP1717BG? I did find a suggested replacement of MJW1320A but that also seems not to be available.

Re: Power transistor substitutes
Can't find any data for a "2S1162BG" I did though for a 2SA1162 and an equivalent chart - https://alltransistors.com/crsearch....=70&caps=TO236
"2SP1717BG" Shouldn't that be 2SB1717? But that doesn't make sense, 2SA and 2SB parts are both PNP. When I searched using your part numbers I get nothing related to transistors only odd Russian entries. I think I might have some 2SA1162's, will look. The other one, bog knows. Andy.

Re: Power transistor substitutes
2SA1162 isn't a power device, though. There is a 2N1162 TO3 device.
^^^WHS^^^^ for the other device Can't find MJW1320A either though there is a MJW1302A TO247 device. Any information on where used or even a circuit would help with sorting suitable substitutes.

Re: Power transistor substitutes
There is a 2S116: https://www.radiomuseum.org/tubes/tube_2s116.html
According to this site, the ACY24 and ASY48 are (near?) equivalents: http://obsoletetellyemuseum.blogspot...ransistor.html

Re: Power transistor substitutes
Again, the 2S116 isn't really a power transistor, just an OC81/AC128 class output transistor.

Re: Power transistor substitutes
I think it should be 2SB1162 and 2SD1717
These are a complimentary audio output pair. 160V 12A 120W TO-3P package edit: I would bang in a pair of the ubiquitous 2SA1943/2SC5200 but dont mix and match if there are several in parallel.

Re: Power transistor substitutes
That would fit with the MJW1302A being a substitute for one of them! TO247 and TO3P are near enough the same to be physically interchangeable.

Re: Power transistor substitutes
Think you may be right Kevin, we've no idea till the OP comes back. Always find that a bit odd when someone posts a question or request then vanishes for days or never comes back.
Andy.
