Bally fruit machine question
Hi I am repairing a 70's Bally fruit machine. There are numerous bulbs behind the front panel.
Parts list (USA) lists bulbs as following types, but no voltages give. 55/44/47/63. How do these match up with UK bulbs ? Mike. |

Re: Bally fruit machine question
It is worth noting that in fruit machines that the supply voltage often has little connection with the lamp voltage.
A 55 volt supply and 12 volt lamps was one common arrangement, the lamps being driven in a multiplexed array such that each one was only "on" at a very low duty cycle. I have seen UK fruit machines with a mains transformer suitable for either UK or USA mains. |

Re: Bally fruit machine question
Being it’s from the 70s I think you will find
Number 55 would be 6.5/7 volt The number 44 and 47 are the same apart from the 47 running cooler . They are both 6.3 volt Some people change 44s to 47s to cut down on heat being less wattage. I’m not sure about the 63 so can’t help on that. Should be easy to find . Do a search for pinball lamps . Andy
