Bowood Electronics
Could anyone tell me if Bowood Electronics are still trading? I tried to contact them by phone and email but no reply.
Cheers Mike |

Re: Bowood Electronics
Yes, I will try and wait for March 7th. I just require some solder tag boards to put some 1N4007 rectifiers and resistor om to replace the metal rectifier in a Blaupunkt "Virginia" radio

Re: Bowood Electronics
Bowood Electronics was the last remaining UK source of 'off-the-shelf' 470K switched pots as replacement for the 500k log pot in the DAC90A. There's now zero demand for switched pots as radio and TV controls have been digital for quite some years so they're no longer made, apart from getting them custom made by Blore Edwards.
See: https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=196733 Will Outram is a great guy who worked for Barwell's in Sheffield for more than 25 years before branching out on his own 20 year ago as Bowood Electronics. He and his wife Janet (nee Barwell) have attended many of the smaller radio rallies within range of Chesterfield for many years. His brother-in-law Rod Bardwell kept Barwell's going for as long as he could before having to call it a day in 2018. (The late Norman Bardwell started the business in 1945 dealing in ex W.D. surplus). Hope they're soon back up and running.

Re: Bowood Electronics
Hi Mike, I can send you these FOC if they are any good to you. I don't think I have any 1N4007s.
Cheers, John.
