A bodge by Airmec ?
Hello there,
I recently bought an Airmec signal generator model 204. After removing all of the knobs for cleaning I noticed that all of the shafts had a hole drilled in them for the grub screws so that the knobs diddn't rotate on their shafts. I then noticed that the band change control shaft had been drilled and then drilled again at an angle to widen the hole making the shaft look untidy. The band change control shaft mesges with a bevel gear and I wander if sombody forgot to align up these gears properly as if they are not meshed correctly the pointer knob dosen't align with the dial. There is no evidence of past tampering with the set so it looks like it happened in the factory. Christopher Capener
