Bolt together circuit?
Hi all,
Not posted for a while due to various matters beyond any ones control However just found this in a pre war "Practical Mechanics", book. I guess it never caught on? "vero board", would be the nearest modern equivalent but soldering required? Just wonder how many other such schemes have been tried and failed Enjoy, Paul. |

Re: Bolt together circuit?
I suppose components with wires like resistors and capacitors could have the wires wrapped round a bolt but I wonder how you would do a valve socket?

Re: Bolt together circuit?
For the period in question, valve sockets usually had screw terminal connections.

Yes, Paul, very intriguing & fascinating; I've never come across that method before. Mind you, I bet he had a 'Meccano' set as a child.

Re: Bolt together circuit?
Interesting - looks like an efficient way to increase stray capacitance!
