Valve radio repairs - Dr. Tony Durrant
I had all but given-up watching youtube videos of radio repairs; fed-up with guys who try to come across as knowing what they're doing when they really are just 're-cappers' or blaggers at best.
Whilst watching a video posted on here the other day, I came across Dr. Tony Durrant's channel. www.youtube.com/user/tonydurrant What an absolute joy ! Short, and to the point; by a man who clearly knows what he is doing (and some..) no stupid overblown title sequences, no droning on for hours and hours with irrelevant drivel, or trying to con money out of people... No messing, no nonsense; he covers safety, and checks, evaluates, inspects, tests, measures DC conditions (so many youtubers don't) calculates and assesses. Then follows a course of action, and assesses the outcome. He also explains everything clearly. Wonderful to watch a real engineer at work. I also like his guitar music. |
