BSR TD2 Brake lever damping spring
Got one of these in a Fidelity Argyll Minor. After stripping down to clean and regrease the stuck mechanism I'm struggling to relocate the damping spring for the brake lever. It's item 130 on the trader sheet. It's not obvious where it fits and of course I didn't take a photo before stripping down
Does anyone have a photo of the underside of the support bracket showing the spring in situ? Or can anyone advise where it fits? |

Re: BSR TD2 Brake lever damping spring
There are loads of Forum Threads covering various recorders that use the TD2 Tape Deck chassis, some of these will have various photo attachments, like the example one attached here.
If nobody comes up with a suitable photo then it would be worthwhile you trawling through the TD2 Threads to see if any suitable photo. David |

Re: BSR TD2 Brake lever damping spring
I think the spring in question can be seen in this YouTube service clip a few times

Re: BSR TD2 Brake lever damping spring
Thanks for the link that was exactly what I was looking for. For some reason I was trying to fit the spring on the opposite edge of the arm. All working fine now

That is good news.
Did you take a photo showing the spring, if so would be good to Post it here, it could help someone else in the future. David |

Re: BSR TD2 Brake lever damping spring
Unfortunately at the time I just put it together to see if it had worked (I'd had the spring loose and was concerned I might misplace it) but I still have further work to do on the unit so will try and get a photo at the next opportunity.
