Default Another Schematic Error...

Why wouldn't the Fast Forward function work in the schematic in the link below ?

From a very quick look nothing obvious jumps out but am sure it will be obvious when you explain later, it is not the simplest circuit to follow.

Is it anything to do with TB103-2 having no connection on the left hand side with TB103-3 having 2 wires on the left hand side.

It's not that.

Because the feed from the button goes via TB101 terminal 3 to TB103 terminal 2 where it stops dead.

It does but that's not explicitly the reason.

I do not think it is what you are looking for but a confusing part of the circuit for me is the AC feed to the bridge rectifier CR101. The bottom connection comes from fuse F101 and also connects to one end of the fail safe relay K101 coil.

The top connection comes from the other side of the fail safe relay K101 coil (also connects to one end of Rewind button S406A). To me this does not seem correct that the CR101 AC feed comes from F101, one side direct and the other side via K101 coil.

The two AC feed connections to the bridge rectifier both ultimately connect to the same point, that's also a clue to the fast forward error...

Time to reveal...The connections for the take up motor windings and motor capacitor in fast forward all end up at the same place, namely F101.

The connections for the fail safe relay coil also end up at F101.

Ditto for the pilot light.

Either that or I've got it wrong.
