You checked the output transformer in post #22 and #24.
Check you get the same results now.
Sorry lots of questions...
Which resistors were 'Dead'? What did dead mean?
Did you replace them with the correct values?
You get hum from the speaker without the valves installed?
Please post some more pictures of the top and bottom of the amp so we can have a look too.
