Hi Dazzelvision, The tuner was made in Germany and after dismantling it was certainly evident that it has that "Continental" look about it. All the screws are metric.
Those red resistors might have been sourced from Philips. They all measure spot on, not bad for sixty years. The carbon composition resistors were found to be well out of tolerance.
The maker of the tuner is unknown. Could be NSF or R E Hopt?
