Talking of iconic broadcasters (Stuart Henry R1?.... iirc he only had a Friday lunchtime show on R1)... anyway, for me it was Kenny Everett, and his Thames TV shows are being aired on Saturday mornings on a new Freeview channel called That's TV, on ch 65. not yet been mentioned in Radio Times.
Re Steve Wright; in his early incarnation I think he modelled himself on Ken, even looking a bit like him...
