Default Re: Ceramic and Crystal cartridge specs.

Hi!

Whilst I have plentiful knowledge of circuits, I've just realised one small piece of knowledge is missing from my knowledge store!

The High Output Crystal and ceramic cartridges are mostly quoted as 600-1200 mV per cm/s, can someone enlighten me:-

Is this linear or circumferential velocity, and what would the recorded velocity of a typical 45 rpm 1960s single, equated in cm/s be?

This would enable me to estimate the p-p voltage at the cartridge O/P terminals, for use with valved or transistorised amplifiers!

When I last repaired record-players I'd no oscilloscopes to hand in those days!
