The PostOffice Radio Station at Dorchester had this very same system; a naster clock in the Executive Engineer's office sending pulses to the slave displays in the rest of the building.
I had the task of attemting the repair to a large pulse clock at the old football ground in Weymouth many years ago but it was not at fault, the master clock was lost in the move from the old ground to the new ground.
Nobody owned up to the loss of it.
