Gent’s Pulsynetic system?
I remember these in British Rail days. A master clock (usually located in the railway telephone system’s local exchange) sends out pulses every 30 seconds to a large number of slave clocks (on major stations) all connected in series, which would move their minute hands on in sync with the master clock’s pulses. All clocks in local railway offices would also be connected.
