As for Sirius idea for swapping RAM I have just fitted a set of 4 AM9111BPC which are 400ns parts (I previously had the DPC which are 250ns) and I am getting more corruption even on the static images (could be from the PI uploader though as using the older slower script seems less prone). I will tone down the speed a little in the upload script and keep testing - I will put back the non A part as the juddering is getting to me...
