Seeing this thread reminded me of a large screen unit for audio use sold as either the Wayne Kerr RA20 which I briefly owned or the Ferrograph ARA1.
This was designed to go up to 30 or 200khz depending on the range, I enclose a couple of pictures for those interested.
Of course its so much easier now you can use PC based scope and enlarge the image to what ever you like with a large screen or projectors.
