I find USB so convenient that all my small stuff is USB powered now, so it can be powered from from a USB wall-wart supply, a laptop or a battery power-bank, or from the CH340G or FTDI thats doing the serial console - very versatile if not quite 'retro'
Would a fully-loaded MK14 be too much?
