Default Re: Valuations of our sets.

If you have a valuable collection you may want to consider a "Fine Arts" type of policy. These can cover your house, contents and collectables and recognise the special nature of collections. They can also give cover for your business assets if you work from home. You may not think of yourself as an art collector but these companies may have the right product for you.

My insurance is with specialist brokers RK Harrison (www.rkharrison.com) using their Classic Insurance for Town and Country Residences. I'm not specifically recommending them to you - they may or may not be right for your particular circumstances - but at least they won't treat you as a series of boxes to be ticked and can bend various parts of the policy to suit your particular needs. They may well be no more expensive than a normal household policy.

I have no association with this company nor do I get any reward for recommending them. I have only been with them for a year and (thank goodness) I have no idea how well they handle claims.
